  Many foreign workers staying?! I'm not sure whether it is approved as workers' dormitory? Security guards are very diligent, always make their rounds at different timings. Cleanliness wise, the cleaner seems rather incompetent from we and our neighbours observe. This plump & bespectacled cleaner chose units to "clean" and always skipping some units, seemingly pretending to sweep the corridors but keeps looking at the time/watch?? What made it worse was the water in the bucket was always dirty and smelly. We happened to walk past the unattended trolley on a few occasions, that's what we observed. It's really bad. Overall, this bldg is noisy, dirty & delivery-unfriendly. I would not recommend renting a unit here. After completing 2 yrs of lease, we moved out a few months back, finally.

  Nice location for work

  I travel daily from Chinatown MRT to Buangkok MRT on the North-East Line to work in Northstar at AMK. We have regular customers fitting automotive accessories as well as doing light modifications here. Since it’s an industrial building, there’s plenty of labour when business runs hot. I get my grocery shopping done here too on my way back.

  Business sense

  It looks like a small mall, but Northstar at AMK is listed as an industrial property. There are many small units here. What you see on the outside are shops catering to a wide range of products and services. I own a spa here and have plenty of clients from the neighbourhood. Property prices have appreciated over the past decade and business is good.

  Booming location

  Northstar at AMK is listed as an industrial property, so I was skeptical about opening a shop here when I was looking for a new space in bustling Ang Mo Kio. However, this area has developed quickly and business is booming. Even during the pandemic, I've been able to sustain the business. There are a number of other businesses operating in the area.
